Walnut is a Hanoverian mare sired by Glendale Wolf and a sister to Glendale Witchery who is competing successfully at dressage in Western Australia. She has a wonderful quiet nature with that easy-to-train disposition. Her excellent performance career in both dressage (over 60% at Novice) and jumping (1.10m) has been put on hold temporarily in order to have some top class foals by leading dressage sires in Germany.

Walnut's sire, Wolf, is a dressage and jumping stallion purchased by Sonia Johnson to compete in 3-day-events. Wolf is sired by Winterkoenig who was imported from Germany to become the foundation sire of Kinnordy Stud. Winterkoenig sired a number of highly rated and prominent dressage horses as well as internationally successful eventers including Wiking, Wolfgang, Winter Rex and Woton K.

Winterkoenig is by Woermann, the founder of the most popular Warmblood bloodline in the world, the W line. Pik Koenig, Winterkoenig's dam sire, not only produced exceptionally good showjumpers, but also outstanding dressage horses. Pik Koenig sired the prime genetic transmitters, Pik Bube I and Pik Bube II. This combination of W and P Hanoverian bloodlines has proved to be very successful and well sort after. Both these bloodlines have influenced Hanoverian breeding all over the world.

As a great granddaughter of Woermann and with Pik Koenig ancestry, Walnut offers bloodlines from the most popular Warmblood bloodlines in the world. On the thoroughbred side, Jenark, was a first rate long distance runner who won the Perth Cup in 1969 at the age of 6.

2010: In foal to Radical Blue Magic, due August 9th.

Emily's sire, Aramis, was imported to Australia from Germany. Aramis's grandsire, Absatz, was one of the founders of the modern Hanoverian breed. Aramis's dam sire, Wohler, is the sire of the legendary Woermann, the founder of the famous W Hanoverian line that produced many famous Hanoverians including World Cup, Weltmeyer, Walt Disney, World Class, and Wall Street.

Emily is extremely gentle and laid back. In March 2006 she attended the AWHA Gala Warmblood Showcase in Perth where she was classified into the Head Stud book and competed in the lead mare class (see photo below). This was her first showing and yet she was perfectly behaved all day and a pleasure to take out. She was awarded 3rd out of 8, only missing out on a higher place because her handler could not run fast enough to show off her big trot! Her movement demonstrates enormous hindquarter engagement and a powerful uphill canter. With her pretty feminine head too she is a prime example of the Hannovarian breed.

2009: Chestnut filly KH Wolken Georgia, by KH Wolkenstar (dec), born 30th October 09.

Prishka is an elegant, fine, part Hanoverian mare sired by the well known FEI Grand Prix Dressage stallion Konnica Park Don Georgio and out of a thoroughbred mare. Her head is particularly pretty, her conformation superb and all her paces are fluid , balanced and correct. She is an extremely friendly and good natured mare who is easy to catch, trim etc.

Above: Shown here with Wolken Georgia

KP Don Georgio is a very athletic, beautiful horse with elastic and fluid movement. He is trained in Perth by Margo and Harry Boldt and has competed in the Eastern States.  Don Georgio was added to the Elite training Squad and stood in good stead for Olympic selection in Athens, 2004. Don Georgio's dam sire, Duerkheim, is a recognised German dressage sire and a representative of the famous "D" Hanoverian line. Duerkheim sired many exceptional offspring, including Diamont (a leading dressage sire in the USA), Domingo, DavisCup and Dacapo.

Prishka's grandsire Pot Black, was chosen as a stallion for Statford Park Sport Horses who is by The Joker (of Irish jumping fame).

"Kiara" is a daughter of the black, 17hh FEI dressage stallion, Lutz and out of a 15.3hh thoroughbred mare. This magnificent Trakehner stallion was imported into Western Australia by Sally-Leigh Woods who then went on to campaign him successfully in both WA and the Eastern States at FEI level. Sadly, Lutz is now deceased but his wonderful qualities of presence, conformation, movement and trainability continue on through his daughters.

By crossing her to a black Quarter horse this time, we plan to produce a delightful quiet easy-going type of horse, of good average size and with movement and the good looks to do dressage, hack, jump or event.

"Libby" was bred by Winderadeen Stud in NSW and was purchased, primarily, for breeding with frozen semen. She is by the 2nd leading sire of Pleasure Quarter Horses horses in Australia, Tall Dark N Radical, out of a mare by the leading sire of performance horses, Cee A Barpasser. Tall Dark N Radical and Cee A Barpasser need no introduction. She has an amazing pedigree!

Libby is a delightfully natured mare, quiet, calm and intelligent. A delight to train and such a quick learner. She is natural mover, with lose and flowing paces. Her first foal was an absolute beauty - a big bay colt (Cee A Radical Beau).

She has recently spent 5 weeks being further trained under saddle at Salt River, WA.

She is being offered for sale only because she is a sister to our stallion and there is no time to ride her. Going to waste!

 Kareela Giselle - deceased 2008

Giselle was sadly put to sleep on 29th July 2008 at 20yrs old due to a tough battle with chronic laminitis and Cushing's Disease. She was a great horse and mother, and will be greatly missed by all the family.

Breed: Quarter Horse

Height: 15.1hh

Colour: Chocolate liver Chestnut

Age: 20 years

Reg: AQHA A1-4963

Giselle is sired by the legendary Quarter Horse stallion Sundance King (dec.). In his career, Sundance King was awarded a total of 8 Awards including 4 Registers of Merit (ROMs) in Performance, Trail, Halter and Western Pleasure.  He was one of the few quarter horse stallions in Australia to accomplish this. Sundance King's pedigree goes back over 300 years. His Grandsire, Hill King, is the Grandsire of the leading award winning stallion in Australia, Kings Charge.

Sundance King was the premier sire in WA during the 1980s and early 1990s when his progeny were winning the greatest number of points at approved shows. In his heyday, Sundance King won many state championships and his progeny have excelled at the Western Events of roping, reining and trail classes, and also English events such as dressage, showjumping, cross-country and polocrosse.

Giselle was born on the property in 1988 and was the children's pony club and eventing horse for many years. She has recently retired becoming one of our breeding mares. Her temperament is fantastic. As a five year old, Giselle was competing at "D" grade ODEs with an 11 yr old child quickly advancing to "C" grade. She took both my daughters through a combined 6 years of Pony Club taking part in Prince Phillip Mounted Games, Pony Club Zone ODEs, endurance rides and camps.

Miss Muffet is sired by Mister Skip out of Speck Deck Leo mare. These sires are well performed in all areas of Quarter Horse competition. Mister Skip was awarded a Performance ROM scoring points mostly in Halter and Western Pleasure. Speck Deck Leo, also awarded a Performance ROM, achieved points in cutting, western pleasure, halter, reining, trail and working cow horse.

Miss Muffet is very athletic, playing many years of A grade polocrosse. During these years, she was awarded champion pony a number of times. She is a well-built horse, possessing good bone and a lovely, quiet, intelligent temperament.

Miss Muffet is also a full sister to the "Skip" that is owned by Pat Parelli in NSW. He featured at the  Parelli Conference last March in Sydney, where he was ridden by the USA para -olympian Lauren Barwick. The crowd was amazed at how calm Skip remained when the the stadium received a direct hit from lightening during a severe electrical storm. Skip has also earned his name by "skipping" over a rope while cantering with Pat on his back. A truly amazing sight!

2009 - in foal to Radical Blue Magic. We congratulate her new owners on the birth of a healthy black colt foal in November

Lena's Sire, Three Solid Bars is genetically engineered to be a prepotent stallion for Three Bar genes. Three Bars has had a great impact on the quarter horse breed siring progeny that excelled in Racing, Halter, Cutting, Western Pleasure, HUS, Reining, Roping and other arena events. It is a versatile bloodline, and coupled with her quiet temperament, Lena would make a great pleasure or performance horse.

Lena has a very quiet sweet placid nature and will follow you around all day hoping for a scratch. She is easy to catch and handle. She really loves the attention. She has had solid ground work training and is ready for the next stage…starting under saddle!
