Generally this means that we run the mare with Magic as soon as she has
settled in to her new environment until she has come in to season and been
served. For the rest of her oestrus, she may either taken out and
hand served or left with him, depending on what is best for them both.
This has produced a 100% conception rate over the last three seasons.
Transport between Albany and Perth etc with
Skinners Transport can be arranged too (Kim Skinner: 0400207279).

"Magic" is a black purebred Quarter Horse from fully
imported Quarter Horse bloodlines and was purchased from NSW in 2007. His
sire is the magnificent stallion
Tall Dark N Radical (imp USA) Q-41653 and his mother, Blue Dixie
Chick, is by the well known stallion, Blue Denim Zipper
(imp USA).
What a combination!! Also featuring in the pedigree are Millbrook Vapour
Trail, Zippo Pine Bar, Hotrodders Jet Set, Tiger Leo and Three Bars - all
the industry greats. He has excellent straight legs, a strong back, good
length of rein and a beautiful big round hindquarter.
But best of all is his incredible laid back attitude and
nothing seems to bother him.
Magic has now been started under saddle at Salt River Performance Horses.
Many thanks to Kellie for developing hi
s education to
this new level.
www.saltriverperformancehorses.com.au
His temperament is extremely quiet,
confident and friendly but with lots
of character too and his willing to please and "can do" attitude make him
a joy to train. Last year, we were blessed with three new foals
by Magic out of our warmblood mares (Prishka, Kiara and Walnut). See
the For Sale page for pictures of these. We also have one foal born in
September, "Radical Skippin Leo", along with another five foals to outside mares. Magic's foals will suit
QH dressage, western pleasure, trail riding, natural horsemanship levels (eg
Parelli), Pony Club, Adult Riding Club and
for breeding Quarter Ponies and Quarabs.
Notes For Mare Owners:
1. Please send your mare with no shoes (to prevent
injury) and also have had a worm paste within last 3 weeks.
2. We recommend a scan be done before she comes here. This will determine
if there is fluid present that could indicate an infection, a retained
corpus luteum, follicle or any other problem that will prevent a pregnancy
happening. This will save you unnecessary agistment fees if the mare does
not fall pregnant on the first cycle and also the extra expense of having
a vet travel to the farm to do a scan here.
Mare Owners Guide to Breeding a Quarter Horse
Registered Foal by Magic:
Firstly, you need to be a member of the AQHA and your mare
needs to be registered as a Foundation Mare. These application forms can
be downloaded from
www.aqha.com.au. Your
mare must have registration papers with her breed society.
Arabian Mares:
this will give you a Quarab, which
will have more bone and substance than a typical Arabian and a very calm
brain.
Thoroughbred: This cross produces great hunters,
eventers, jumpers and dressage horses. A fabulous example of this type of
cross is Sonja Johnson's Olympic eventing horse Ringwould Jaguar which is
by a Quarter Horse sire, out of a Stock Horse mare.
Stock Horse Mares: Are eligible for
Foundation registration with AQHA. Therefore your foal will be a
registered QH.
Magic's Initial Breeding Fee with the AQHA has been paid,
and so has his DNA testing for HERDA. So his Quarter Horse foals can also
be registered if they are out of registered Quarter Horse mares or
Foundation QH Mares.
Mare Owners guide to Breeding an Australian Quarter
Pony:
Please visit the website,
www.australianquarterponyassociation.com
for full information and the forms. Registrations are being accepted for
solid or coloured ponies between 11.2HH and 14.2HH. Your mare will need to
be registered with this association and then we can submit a breeding
return to them.
Fertility
As a breeding stallion, Magic is a very gentle and casual
lover - he is never in a rush!. It is no problem to leave mares and foals
with him in his paddock. Hand serving is available if requested. Fertility
wise, he has had a 90% success rate on the first cycle over the last three
seasons.
Inspection invited by appointment. The kettle is always on!

Sire of KH Weltanna For Sale.
Weltmeyer is a German supersire. His credentials alone speak for themselves.
He is simply phenomenal. Weltmeyer is
considered by many to be the Hanoverian Sire of the 20th Century.

¯
2003 USA Equestrian's leading dressage sire
¯
1998 Hanoverian Stallion of the year
¯
1997 Stallion Performance Test Champion
¯
1989 DLG Champion
¯
1987 German National Champion Three-year-old Riding Horse
¯
1986 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing Champion
Weltmeyer is famous as a sire of champions. Weltmeyer has 85 licensed sons
around the world and 416 of his mares have achieved the "State Premium Mare"
title in Germany, 1194 main stud book mares, 355 auction horses and the total
winning sum of progeny is €1,886,797.00.(Ref: IHB
2009 publication). Weltmeyer has exceptional dressage ability with cadenced
movements and beautiful suspension and elevation. In 2005, it was not unusual
again to see that Weltmeyer was the dam-sire of the highest priced foals. At
Verden's elite Auction in October a Sandro Hit/Weltmeyer foal (Step by Step)
fetched €31,000 and the top priced horse, Lexus by Londonderry out of a
Weltmeyer mare fetched €260,000 ($500,000). Second highest price of
€200,000 went to Donny M (Don Frederico, Weltmeyer), showing that, once again,
Weltmeyer mares are highly sought after for the incredible foals that they
produce. For more information on Weltmeyer and the success of his progeny, visit

Sire of KH
Wolkenstar (deceased)
Wolkenstein II
is a 16.1hh chestnut Hanoverian stallion born in 1990. He is already
proving himself as a fabulous sire of performance horses. He has an
absolutely impeccable pedigree. His sire is the incomparable
Weltmeyer, and he comes from a foundation mother line. The photo below
shows his wonderful conformation and attractive head. at 16.1hh he remains
a very elegant horse that still has good bone, yet is not too big for the
average rider or horse float. The "G" line is also noteworthy for
producing fabulous show-jumpers as well as eventing horses.

Wolkenstein II's performance record is exceptional.
¯ He was
Reserve Champion at the 1992 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing
¯ German
Champion Three-Year-Old Riding Horse in 1993
¯
Champion of the 1993 Stallion Performance Test.
Wolkenstein II's offspring are continuing the tradition. His
offspring include Welser, Waterford, Wildest Dream, Wildflower and

Sire of
KH Wolkendanza
and KH Wolken Aspen
Wolkentanz
is son of the legendary Weltmeyer. He is a 16 1/2hh chestnut Hanoverian
stallion born in 1991. This excellent stallion has flowing, expressive,
rhythmical movements along with correct conformation and a wonderful mind.
He is a very high improver in riding type and conformation, and his
breeding value for dressage is outstanding.
A few years ago
Wolkentanz thrilled audiences with his breathtaking trot as a member of
the Celle Dressage Quadrille. His offspring turned also heads with their
fantastic movements and in 2001 he produced both the champion filly and
colt of the German Foal Championships - with both scoring champion 10's on
their gaits! Thus, Wolkentanz appears to be Weltmeyer's best producing son
so far. In 2005, he received a Breeding Index of 157 points, with an
assurance of 97% heritability, from the German Equestrian Federation. Wow!

Wolkentanz performance record is exceptional.
¯ He was
Champion at the 1993 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing
¯ German Champion

¯ Runner-up of the
